It’s now possible to register for the upcoming Dragon Quest mobile game, as Square Enix has opened a pre-registration page for Dragon Quest of the Stars.
Dragon Quest of the Stars is a turn-based RPG that is currently available in Japan. The game has a lot of the gacha elements that are similar to ones in the Final Fantasy titles developed by Square Enix. The game has premium currency in the form of gems that can be purchased for a chance of winning high-level equipment.
The fans who are eager to go on a mobile Dragon Quest adventure will soon have a chance, as the official Dragon Quest of the Stars Facebook page has revealed that the game will be released on February 25 for Android and iOS devices. It’s now possible to pre-register for the game, which will notify the player when it’s available to download.
The people who register interest in the game will receive a bonus when the game launches. According to the Facebook page, the size of the bonus will increase depending on the number of people who register for the game.
The footage of the game that has been released so far has confirmed that every Dragon Quest protagonist will cameo in the game, along with the Prince of Cannock and Princess of Moonbrooke from Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line and the children of the protagonist of Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride.
It’s likely that the game will be similar to the Final Fantasy mobile games released by Square Enix and will bring back friends and foes from the whole series. Dragon Quest of the Stars has a huge userbase in Japan, but the series doesn’t have quite the same audience size in the west, so it remains to be seen whether it can replicate the success from its homeland around the globe.
Dragon Quest of the Stars will be released for Android and iOS devices on February 25, 2020.
