Project Giant Robot Has Been Cancelled For Wii U

Experimental Wii U game Project Giant Robot has been cancelled and will not be coming to WIi U, Nintendo has confirmed to Polygon.

Confirmation of the cancellation comes as no great surprise given Nintendo had previously stated that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be the last Nintendo title for the Wii U.

Asked why development on the game had been ended, Nintendo told Polygon it “made this decision after considering our overall product and development strategy”.

The game literally saw players taking control of a giant robot, walking about and trashing a city.

Nintendo Switch launches worldwide on March 3.
