Ps4 Sales Reach 25 3 Million As Sony Increases Full Year Expectations

25.3 million PlayStation 4 consoles have shipped worldwide since launching in November 2013, Sony has revealed.

3 million consoles were sold between April-June 2015, up 11% on the 2.7m sold during the same period last year.

As a result, Sony has increased its full year PS4 sales projections from 16m to 16.5m.

Microsoft hasn’t updated sales figures for Xbox One since last November, when it revealed the console had shipped close to 10 million units.

Last week it announced that Xbox One and Xbox 360 shipped a combined 1.4m units during the last quarter, less than 50% per cent of the number of PS4s sold alone.
