PS4 was the best-selling console of November in the US, beating Xbox One for the first time since June, reports GamesBeat which has seen data published by the NPD Group.
NPD analyst Sam Naji says PS4 sales were driven by the 500GB Uncharted 4 bundle, which accounted for 30 per cent of all PS4 hardware sold in November.
Nintendo enjoyed a strong November, thanks to a 59 per cent increase in 3DS hardware sales compared to November 2015 as a result of the demand for Pokemon Sun and Moon. The sold-out NES Classic Edition system sold 196,000 units, and would undoubtedly have sold more had Nintendo been able to keep up with demand.
Software sales were led by Infinite Warfare, followed by Battlefield 1 and then the Pokemon games, which combined would have topped the list. Titanfall 2 also enjoyed a strong second month, climbing from ninth to fifth spot.
Watch Dogs 2 will be a disappointment for Ubisoft, charting at eighth.
