While PlayStation fans are hungry for news regarding Sony’s reveal of the PlayStation 5, the date of the reveal event is a mystery. Leaks up to this point have pointed to a February date for this event. As February begins and Sony still hasn’t announced the PS5 event, skepticism is beginning to grow. It’s gotten to the point where one leaker who’d previously been dismissed is starting to get more attention. This leaker claims that the PS5 PlayStation Meeting is planned for March, not February.

PSErebus is a Twitter account post a variety of PlayStation news and rumors. Sometimes it’s difficult to distinguish their rumors from news, let alone supposed leaks. This past week, however, PSErebus has explicitly laid out several leaks. These were leaks that PSErebus had claimed prior, but which hadn’t been taken seriously. According to PSErebus, the PS5 PlayStation Meeting will be in March. Pre-orders for the console, as well as games including Gran Turismo 7, will also begin in March.

There are more leaks from PSErebus than that, too. One interesting leak is PSErebus’ tweet telling followers not to dispose of, trade, or sell their original PlayStation, PS2, PS3, or PS4 games. Their assertion being that the PS5 will be backward compatible with all PlayStation physical media from previous generations. They also claim that the official release date of the PS5 in the USA will be November 20.

Despite PSErubus’ seeming knowledge about the PS5 launch, they don’t have any leaks to share about the console’s launch line-up or planned releases. The most specific detail they shared is that Gran Turismo 7 will be available for pre-order in March. They also say that they predict MLB The Show 20 will be a launch title, but don’t know for sure. For someone with insider information, the lack of game info is suspicious.

Whether or not PSErebus is reliable is unclear. They do have a track record of false claims. However, they do seem to be the only, or at least the earliest, leaker to claim the PS5 PlayStation Meeting will be in March and not February. Since there’s no official statement from Sony about its PS5 PlayStation Meeting, there’s no way to be sure. Everyone does seem to agree that news about the PS5 event is coming in February, though. PlayStation fans will just have to be patient and Sony will make things clear soon. Things are about to get very interesting.
