The LCS Summer Finals just got a little sweeter as it was announced Red Bull will be the official energy drink for the event. The LCS Summer Finals will be held in Detroit, Michigan from August 24-25th at the Little Caesars Arena.

There are a few cool things that will be happening with this sponsorship during the event. To celebrate the exciting conclusion to the Summer Playoffs, Red Bull will be wings during the pre-show festivities. There isn’t much to go on about that, but it sounds enticing enough. Along with that, Red Bull will be featured on the broadcast for the “Red Bull Power Play.”

Red Bull has a long history the League of Legends esports scene and has significant partnerships with a number of prominent organizations such as 100 Thieves and Cloud9. They also sponsor the LEC and CBLOL. The Red Bull influence in the League of Legends scene is integral as they continue to build a strong understanding of each other. It’s reasonable to assume the partnership will continue well beyond the 2020 year as well.

Red Bull is just one of a handful of official sponsors for the LCS. The list also includes big names like Honda, Mastercard, Rocket Mortage, State Farm, Alienware, ESPN+, Twitch, Youtube, and more. The list of sponsors is long as League of Legends continues to prove that it is the biggest esport around and is only continuing to grow every year as the industry as a whole keeps getting bigger and bigger.
